Pours a dark ruddy brown color with a thin velvety cream colored head.

Aroma has notes of dark fruits, dark baked bread and a slight nutty aroma.

Taste follows the nose with notes of dark baked bread, semi sweet dark fruits - prunes, raisins and pumpernickel bread. Some nutty earthy flavors come through towards the back end. A slight bitterness is there.

Feel is medium bodied. Sprightly carbonation. Semi- dryish finish.

Overall a nice doppelbock from Hofbräuhaus.

Had on tap. Dark earthy brown with a huge tan head. Boozy dark fruit, bread pudding, nutty smelling and tasting, with hints of flowers here and there. Feel is somewhat boozy for style, warm and chewy. Solid
