This one also brewed right here at Hofbräuhaus Chicago. Nice dark lager, still light but not weak. Chocolate, nut and caramel notes along with very good malts.

Had on tap. Not as good as I remember muchen's being, but still worth a try. Somewhat clear dark brown, beige head. Smells of toasted caramel, slight chocolate shavings, roasted nuts, and brown sugar. Taste almost has a slightly burnt caramel popcorn with darker bread and nuts. Feel is malty, sneaky light but in a good way, finish is not as crisp and in general has more sharpness to the feel.

On tap in a 1L stein at the Hofbräuhaus Chicago. Dark brown in color. Spicy and malty aroma of caramel and Noble hops. Flavors are well balanced with notes of bready grain, burnt caramel, very faint anise, and spicy hops. Lighter body, ample carbonation, clean and balanced finish. Easy to drink a lot of this at a time - light yet flavorful.
