Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with fine, one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops, light dried tropical fruit and lemon. Flavor is light biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops, lemon, faint tropical and stone fruit, grapefruit rind and a hint of caramel and dry grass. Finishes with grapefruit rind bitterness and residual herbal hop notes. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. I picked this up realizing I'd never had a fresh hopped English style IPA, and this one delivered the experience. The classic English IPA malt body, but with pretty clear Mosaic hop flavors of citrus and light tropical fruit. The flavor leans to the citrus, but has grassy notes. Tasted as I expected and hoped. Perhaps a bit more full flavored than a typical English IPA. I liked this.
