Served in Nonic. Poured a lightly opaque mahogany color with about 1/2 inch of light tan head that had low retention and lacing.
A pleasingly gentle amount of smoke wafted to the nose, with some soft, earthy malts underneath. Perhaps a touch of floral hops.
The flavor profile was the same, very nice, with the smoke just around the edges, but certainly present.
The body was smooth, even, and clean, with the smoke gently lingering on the finish.
Drinkability was great, I coulda had a couple more, easily.
Overall, a very nice brew. A must-try if you see it.
