Pours dark cola brown, nice clarity; white head with light shades of brown; spongy looking, collapses to leave some clumps here and there.
Nose is milk chocolate, light bready malt, faint toast; earthy hop character.
Taste is milk dud chocolate like; some light toast, light English hop character, brown leafy; little roast presents itself upon warming, mostly on the finish.
Light to medium body; very soft, lightly carbonated, silky, some light-moderate bitterness on the finish, clean with some light linger sweetness.

The pour reveals a clear mahogany brown beer with a sudsy tan head that lingers. Beautiful beer and the first thought is a barleywine.
The nose, though, is roasty malts and some earthy, grassy hop notes, so I’m leaning away from barleywine territory. The taste furthers that thought, with the earthy grass notes taking lead with an almost toffee malt flavor underneath. This is delicious.
The mouthfeel, which is very crisp and dry, is not anywhere near a barleywine, but more toward a dark lager. This is one of the better beers I’ve had this year.

16.9oz bottle (no visible date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a clean dark brown color with 1/4 inch of light brown head that had low-moderate retention and no lacing.
The aroma had softly roasted malts at the front, with some sweet malts behind that. In the background was just a faint whiff of floral hops.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the roast being a bit stronger, especially on the finish.
The body was light and smooth, with a semi-sweet finish that dried out a bit after a moment.
Drinkability was very good, a smooth, easy quaffing beer for sure.
Overall, a pretty nice brew. Certainly worth your time if you see it.
