Modern English Bitter, brewed with Maris Otter, Flaked Barley and Belgian Candi-sugar. Hopped throughout the boil and whirlpool with Styrian Wolf and Goldings, complementing the complex malt body and fruity esters of English Ale yeast.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a moderately hazy, medium coppery amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, grassy and lightly citrus hops, orange and mixed fruit. Flavor follows with biscuit malt, grassy and citrus hops, dry hay, orange and faint mixed fruit. Mixed grassy and citrus hops finish with a hint of tea at the end. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A pleasant, spot-on English bitter with classic tasting malt and a somewhat updated hop bill that leans away from straight noble hop grassiness with some the more modern fruit flavors from the Styrian Wolf hops. Lots of flavor for a 4.1% ale. Great for a hot evening.
