Poured into a Seattle Beer Week glass. Pours a dark chestnut brown with a one finger light khaki head that dissipates to a persistent thin cap. Aroma of toasted malt, cocoa, walnuts, graham cracker and a touch of caramel. Flavor is dark toasted malt, hazelnuts, light cocoa and hints of caramel in the very slightly sweet finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very pleasant nut brown ale and the best one in memory, although it's been a while. Excellent combination of dark malt with a moderate toastiness and nut flavors. Hints of caramel and brown bread keep things interesting. I'm a fan of this one and will be getting it again. Looks, smells and tastes great.
