Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with coppery notes and a one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, fruit and mildly grassy hops, mixed fruit with a touch of citrus; lightly floral. Flavor is somewhat grainy biscuit malt, grassy and lightly fruit hops, lemon, light mixed fruit, and dry hay. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. My first ale with Tettnang as a single hop, although it's used in many noble hop ales with other hops. The aroma was had the mixed fruit character I expected for this hop, but the taste leaned towards lemony flavors. Nice biscuit malt character with some whole grain flavor, particularly in the lingering finish. The kölsch yeast gives this a light crisp profile. Very refreshing and enjoyable. This has been a great year of traditional and single hop ales from Machine House.
