Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium coppery amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, rye bread, apple and light grassy hops. Flavor is slightly grainy biscuit malt, rye, light grapefruit rind and grassy hops; moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A classic tasting English pale ale with a bit more hop presence. This uses traditional English hops, but with an American yeast; not sure I can tell any difference from Machine House's other pleasant pale ales. A little hazier than expected for the style, but the color is nice. Another fine English inspired ale from this brewery.
