11th Anniversary Cascade Bitter

Pours a lightly hazy, medium bronzy amber with a two finger off-white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of pale and biscuit malt, citrus hops, lemon, grapefruit and a touch of tangerine. Flavor is pale and lightly biscuit malt, grapefruit, lemon and a touch of floral. Citrus rind finish with satisfying bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess and nice mouth feel. This tasted almost exactly as advertised and I expected, and I was looking forward to experiencing it. It has the sturdy light biscuit base of a classic bitter, but showcases the Cascade hops nicely with a straightforward grapefruit main flavor accented by other light citrus. Nice bitterness and an exceptional mouth feel for a session level ABV. A worthy anniversary brew for this great English style brewery. I rarely drink session style ales, but I would drink this any time.
