Ponderosa Pale Ale

Poured into a Samuel Smith pint glass. Pours a fizzy, orange-gold amber a brief white head that immediately dissipates to sparse patches with a thin ring of bubbles around the glass. Aroma of lightly biscuit malt, grassy hops, whole grain bread and a little orange. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops, hay, black tea and faint apple juice. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess with good carbonation. A solid English pale ale with authentic tasting malt and hops, maybe a little more dry grassy than others. Fine finishing bitterness. Although fizzy with no head, there was fine carbonation in the glass. A new hop variety for me.
