nglish-style Bitter brewed to commemorate the first brew in our new location in Hillman City. A light ale brewed with a blend of quality British caramel malts, this beer was hopped with East Kent Goldings and modern German hop Mandarina Bavaria. Open-fermented and cask-conditioned. Low ABV with a bright, refreshing hop character.

On cask!

Cask conditioned ales seems like the perfect complement to a rainy November Portland afternoon. This in particular hit the spot

Pours a honey-amber color with a thick and creamy cap. Lightly honeyed with a touch of hop bitterness that makes it pop. Delicious.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium coppery amber with a one finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, graham cracker, grassy hops and a touch of rye.. Flavor is biscuit malt, grassy and citrus hops, brown bread crust, grassy hops, some dry caramel and citrus; lingering citrus bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Like last year's version, it is quite nice looking bitter with a classic tasting malt base with a little more rye flavor than the last, and a hybrid profile of hops with traditional grassy noble hops and a lighter, more citrus variety. It is once again sessionable, but quite a bit of flavor for the ABV and more solid bitterness in the finish than a traditional bitter; this one more closely lives up to its name. They are right proud of this foundational English bitter.
