Appearance: Deep clear caramel amber. Little lace in pint glass.

Aroma: Mild, not much I can find here.

Taste: Heavy in body, this drinks smooth with little bitterness at all. Finishes chewy with caramel malts and only a little heat. Delicious!

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on August 8, 2018. Brewed with a blend of hops including Warrior. A touch of hoppy bitterness with a nice citrus aroma.

Nearly clear golden copper color with a tan head. Nice citrus aromas on the nose, and there’s also a beefy caramalt component, too.

The citrus notes are front and center on the taste, and the caramalt is present, too. Just a really nice old school DIPA, IMHO.

Canned on 7-10-18.

A - Medium to dark copper red colored pour with creme colored sticky lacing and very light carbonation. Has the appearance of an English Style IPA.

S - Light caramel malt with some bright citrus - grapefruit aroma that's light in nature.

T - Balanced mostly through and builds bitterness towards the end with a lingering citrus and piney bitterness. A little alcohol pokes through but otherwise it's well hidden.

M - Medium body and a little bit of thinness around the edges.

O - Solid, but the current score of 4.32 is a "tad" overrated, IMO.

Recent release of 16 ounce cans poured into a teku.
L: Very brown/red - other than the color, fairly transparent. A kind of normal amount of head, maybe 2.5 finger widths with a normal pour.
S: Fairly sweet, but some grapefruit-ish smell on the nose.
T: I like the balance - hop bitterness that's a little grapefruit - sweetness to balance it out that has a little bit of a honey taste to me.
F: Very nice thickness - but not too thick - that works well with the beer.
O: A really nice beer that I enjoyed as different from the NE IPAs that have been my go to of late.

The alcohol level shows on the nose and on the finish of this beer. Fairly malt forward DIPA. Caramel sweetness throughout with some bitter pine notes on the front end.
