Pepper was quite subtle, not a ton of burn but good pepper flavor in the finish. A slightly fruity / leathery / smoked component. I'd like to see the chili component increased ... and maybe a more interesting barrel treatment. Something like port / sherry could be interesting.

Appearance - The beer poured black with a mocha colored head.
Smell - The booze dominated the nose with the spice largely masked.
Taste - The initial impression is boozy chocolate with a little bit of spice. I wanted more burn. The warm chocolately after is a little abraisive on the back of the throat. There is just not a ton happening here compared to other BA Hunters.
Mouthfeel - Despite trace amounts of hear, this was smooth with low carbonation.
Overall - This is the least impressive BA Hunter.
