Appearance: Cloudy amber, with a head of off-white suds. Very little lace.
Aroma: Tropical. Pretty good.
Taste: Crisp tropical and fruity hops here, with only a tint of the alcohol sting at finish. Dangerously drinkable double IPA.

I picked up a 4 pack of 16oz. cans dated 03/16/16 at the Hammond brewery yesterday. Poured in my 18th Street tulip for the taste!
Look- Pours a deep gold with some reddish hue leaving a finger of white foam that settles to a thin layer. They've taken some hits on carbonation issues, but this one looks spot on.
Smell- Some mild citrus and cheesy yeast esters along with a hint of spice. A bit tame for a DIPA.
Taste- A cornucopia of grapefruit, some pine, and floral notes. There is a rye spice that emerges in the finish along with some biscuity malt.
Feel- Resiny with a slightly bitter spicy and semi dry finish.
Overall- I don't use the word balanced too often in describing beer, but damn this is as close as I'll come describing a DIPA today. The hop flavor is there, but not such that it's a juice bomb. The same can be said for the malt. A bit of rye spiciness is like a hint of seasoning on a quality cut of meat. A solid beer, love the 16oz. can format, pretty easy drinking for the 8.20% abv. I'd love to see this become a regular in the rotation.
