On tap at 18th Street's lovely new pub in Hammond.
It's a dark hazy pour with a tight white head. The aroma is light and a little... different, I guess. Not what I was expecting: malt syrup and ethanol--even for an 8% ABV beer, it's rather intense.
It tastes much smoother and more contemporary than the aroma had led me to anticipate. Blueberries and mangoes up front, bitter malt in the middle, and some inexplicable bananas on the finish. The flavor is really wonderful, but the bizarre aroma brings this down a notch.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 12 fl oz can on May 15, 2018. The moon is full and the savage hounds of hell have been unleashed; their bitterness intensified by the floral aroma of this Double India Pale Ale. Your only option is to surrender as they wreak their havoc upon your palate.

A-dark orange with two fingers worth of white head
S-caramel malt, citrus, earthy hops
T-malt backbone, tropical fruit, and citrus hops
M-medium body and crisp carbonation
Overall probably the best beer from 18th Street that I've had, would have again

Canned 4/30/18; drank 5/15/18 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange appearance; champagne bubbles throughout.
Caramel, fruit punch & faint pine notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Caramel & faint fruit punch flavors up front; dry pine & oak notes on the finish.
Brutal, old model IPA vibes. Permanent pass.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass.
The beer is on the darker side of being medium golden. Off white crown completes the top of the beer but doesn't go much further than that. There is small sediment floating throughout but other than that it is rather clear.
The smell has quite a big berry presence. Getting multiple different kinds. Juicy and slightly dank.
The taste has that hop bitterness at front then turns into a mellow more berry like notes. Pretty good.
Mouthfeel is wet and sticky.
Overall, another solid brew from 18th street. I enjoyed it.
