A- Well filtered, straw yellow, bit of white head
S- Bit of vegital hops
T- Green peas and snap peas is all I can taste. A tiny bit of hop bitterness on the end.
F- Way thin for a DIPA... probably too think for a standard IPA even
O- Normally love 18th street hoppy stuff. I give them credit for trying something new, but this is a no-go for me.

Part of 18th Street's "In The Shadows" small batch series. A Double Dry-Hopped West Coast DIPA with Mosaic, Citra, and Cascade.
Pours a crystal clear dark orange, copper color with two fingers of off-white head.
Aroma is full of dankness, pine, earthiness, grass, grapefruit pith, orange, and very slight pineapple from the hops. Get a bready sweetness from the malt. There is a slight off-aroma though. Hard to describe, but almost comes off as a slightly burnt vegetal aroma for me.
Nicely balanced up front, as pine, grapefruit, some pineapple, and orange attack the palate along with some bread and sugary sweetness from the malt. Dries out nicely into the finish as a west coast IPA should. A grassy pine resin and grapefruit peel bitterness rush in too. Dankness is there throughout. The off-aroma is also somewhat present in the taste. Like a slightly burnt vegetal flavor. Barely there, but detectable.
Medium body. Smoothly carbonated and creamy. Finishes oily, slick, and slightly sticky.
Despite the slight off-flavor (which I'm not sure was the intent of the brewer), this is still a solid west coast style DIPA. Not worth the $14 price tag for four 12 oz cans, but an enjoyable beer nevertheless.

I got Drip on draft at 18th Street.
I liked it a lot the first half, but then the second half of the glass wasn't as good. It kind of went downhill as it warmed. At first I got a ton of great hop flavor, but toward the end I got vegetable pepper. Never had anything quite this different - usually it's better as it warms. Was a 4.5 or so cold, closer to a 3.5 warm so I'm splitting the middle
