Appearance- This white stout was a dark blonde color with a white head.
Smell - The nose was slightly earthy with some vanilla notes.
Taste - The beer was earthy at the front, but then became a vanilla bomb. The Coco nibs were generally bitter and didn’t seem to add much. The description of melted vanilla ice cream fit somewhat. The beer beccame earthy again at the finish.
Mouthfeel - I didn’t really have a benchmark for mouthfeel on a white stout but this is thick.
Overall - I liked this, but I felt that 18th Street could have done more. They do sweet stouts so well, yet this doesn't hit that dessert level.
