Appearance - In the tradition of Hunter, the beer was a murky black color with mocha bubbles on the sides of the glass.

Smell - There was a pronounced sweet maltiness in the nose.

Taste - The vanilla caught my attention first. It is not as sweet as the vanilla and regular vanilla Hunter. The hazelnuts come more towards the back and have a drying effect on the mouthfeel. The creaminess one expects of Hunter was very much there.

Mouthfeel - As a rule, Hunter is exceptionally smooth as per the style with modest carbonation present.

Overall - As the eighth and final piece of the hunter vertical, this one didn't shine like some of the others. I would place it in the lower half.
