Enjoying this good sounding beer on Memorial Day after total wine didn’t have Bodem. Oh well shouldn’t have procrastinated. The first beer I’m having put of my Pepsi ipa glass for later reference. “03/15/2022”
It looks like a golden nectar with a very big white head. Great lacing, probably due to me having it straight outa the fridge.
S: spices and candied fruit with caramel and classic ipa bitterness. Pretty freakin good.
T: follows nose but the caramel and bitterness ramp up the colder the beer. After it warms up the spices and candied pineapple, grapefruit, etc. really come out and get a little cloying. Like it’s a great taste but a little too rich which I’ll never complain; about just an observation.
Most of these specialty IPAs go down like a stout ipa. This one is more like a lager ipa (not in a bad way). Much lighter biscuit and caramel malts rather than the usual coffee and chocolate ones. I’d still prefer a Bodem but this is definitely one I’ll return to.
TLDR: a great sipping lawnmower beer

Thanks to Ron for giving me a 4-pack from his local brewery!
L: bright, hazy amber body; foamy off-white head
S: citrus, pine, bready caramel malt
T: mango, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, bread crust, caramel, brown sugar faint pineapple,
F: medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter finish with some residual sweetness lingering with pungent pine
O: I was researching the Brewer’s website to see if they call this an English IPA - I couldn’t find anything, but with it’s big malt backbone it makes sense to me. Good beer!

Very drinkable ipa. Some have said heavy on the pallet after having a couple. I found the opposite. It landed for me as a mild ipa with the feel of a pale ale. Very light and taste forward. Would buy it again for sure.

Had Psychedelic Lines poured from pint can into nonic pint.
To me, a classic midwestern IPA, traditionally fruity, with a nice malt presence balanced with big hop bite. I’m becoming a fan of 18th Street’s IPAs.

I like this but it's a little cloying. Has the English flavor and is drinkable but a bit heavy on my palate after the second can.

Surprisingly refreshing and drinkable. Lighter flavors and smells overall than many IPAs, including less bitterness. Nice color and beautiful feel inviting me to drink more faster. Drank from a tall glass on draft. And I will look for this one out there.
