this was one of my least favorite beers on my visit here friday afternoon. it just didnt speak to me. looked alright, pale golden with a solid white head on it and nice ring lacing as it drinks down. smells sweet and not very hoppy, which kind of threw me off. it has a weird sort of sharp thing to it, maybe fermented too warm or something, seems odd. there is bitterness there in the flavor, but its not really there in terms of hop flavor. sweet, and i do get some of that hop oil thing, and the feel is nice with that texture and all, but i want more hop flavor in this. its like a slightly generic strong ale with some off flavors, but its not that sloppy, its just not very interesting. all of the other beers i had here were much better, and ive heard the triple ipa is also very good, so im not sure what went wrong here. its not way off, but it needs to be revisited a little bit. not sure what it is. sharp and sweet at the same time.
