The caramel malt balances the hop profile perfectly. Most drinkable Triple IPA I’ve ever had. Delicious!

Sampler. Cloudy rust coloured no foam. Hoppy as all he’ll. Grapefruit and pine more than an ample malt backbone but as far as being too sweet as possible. Fullish body, almost flat regarding the carbonation. Well, this is outstanding. Thanks, Ken from Denver!

Appearance: light chestnut or dark amber with moderate clarity. Some haze exists. The head is a light tan of superfine bubbles that fades fairly quickly – probably 45 seconds from when poured to flat in appearance.

Aroma: hoppy; balanced with malt sweetness. The malt really comes through, so much so I wouldn’t peg this for a 2X IPA.

Flavor: super hoppy initially but followed by malty sweetness. As the beer warms, hazelnut flavors develop. This beer is sweet. A bomber would tire your palate, but this beer is shy of cloying.

Mouthfeel: heavy-medium, but it seems to thin to near water once in your mouth.

Overall: a nice effort and worth trying, but not a beer that I would purchase repeatedly. This beer was better than many other 2X IPAs available, but then again, there are better versions than this too.

22 oz bottle.
This is a triple IPA that leans towards a Barleywine.
Mild bitterness with obvious sweetness.
Adequate hops presence for style but mild due to sweet-bitter balance.

Surprisingly balanced and easy drinking at what they claim to be 13% ABV and 400+ IBUs.
