a fine example of the style, i was bummed they didnt have the double version on when i was there, which i will definitely be back for. this is a solid cream ale, interestingly named and well constructed. its one of the lighter craft creams i can think of, almost american adjunct lager type in terms of look and feel, but it has a really fresh pale barley malt base which i really like, and there is a smoothness to it unrivaled i think. one of the other cool features is the hops, which are pretty forward for the style, and plenty bitter on the back end. i like what that does to the beer, like a constant increase of flavor intensity, ramping up all the way through to a bold finish. its dry too which i like, and very well charged on the carbonation. a good mix of beers and styles here at rickoli, and this is definitely the most basic, introductory beer. kind of brewed for the good old boys and their coors banquets. a great craft stepping stone, an easy drinking beer, but nothing to get overly jazzed up over...
