Had on tap at the brewery.
In arrival one finger of fine and hefty off white head was present. The body is a hazy red to brown. Nice lacing forms.
Aroma is malty and sweet, bit very smooth. That irish sweet lightly fruity roasty note comes through while still being quite crisp.
Taste is nice but I want just a little bit more. Up front there is a bit of mineralic flavor, but the malt quickly comes through nicely. A light noble hop comes in on the finish but this isn't all that bitter. A bit of fermentation character comes through in the form of dark stone fruit, but this is mostly clean.
Feel is a bit light but the finish is surprisingly long despite that. A relatively dry brew while still feeling pretty malty.
Overall this is a solidly drinkable red ale/altbier tasty, while staying a bit light and very drinkable.

This was a little mellower than I was expecting, and not quite as flavorful. I guess the light red color was the tipoff, like maybe it didn't come out as strong as they were planning. I like my reds a bit stronger than this, so it wasn't a huge success for me. They could tweak this a little and have a real nice beer.
