Picked up a 2016 vintage 12 oz bottle of this beer on a trip to Denver a few months ago. Bottle has been in my cellar since the visit.
Pouring into my snifter the beer is a relatively cloudy copper color with a fizzy eggshell white head of about 1.5 cm and this fades slowly to a sturdy edge layer and decent surface. The aroma is fairly boozy right off the pour. Caramel malt and some peach mixing with some brown sugar and a general booziness. I dont get any hops on this but am now anticipating this to be a sipping beer.
First sip confirms this fact.
Beer is a little lighter in body than expected, but is a little slick and has very fine tingly carbonation. Finishes a little watery. The flavor is pretty sweet caramel and brown sugar and then a lot of peach and then a bit of fusol alcohol that gives a little warmth on the swallow. In general this is a bit of a disappointing beer based on the label and my expectations going into this sampling. I dont think I would buy this one again.
