A rye stout, eh? Ok, never had one of those.

A good pour, like the small off tan head and lacing--splotchy. Dark body.

Nose is a bit faint. Perhaps served a tad too cold. Light fig and prune. Mostly roasted malt and some leather and hints of pine

The rye comes through more in the flavor. Not a whole lot of spice from it, but I think it goes well with the pine from the hops. The roastiness is still there giving more malt backbone to the rye's spice. Makes it seem lighter. Leather subsides and some quick light jabs of dark fruit come and go.

Nice mixture of dry, spice and sweet. Perhaps a bit more rye would make it stand out. I dunno
