L:. Pours a pale straw yellow with a small white head and a few fingers of lacing.
S:. Baked bread, banana, a strong Belgian yeast spiciness.
T:. Baked bread, banana and a strong spicy Belgian yeast.
F:. Big body slightly prickly carbonation.
O:. A little bit strong on the banana for a triple bit still enjoyable.

On tap at the brewery into a snifter glass.
A-The beer is lightly hazy and the color of dried grass. I could have used a little more head, but the little bit of foam there was in my pour was white. Not much in the way of carbonation is visible. Ho hum.
S-The beer is heavy on the yeast; almost like a strong pale ale. I sniff some banana and clove, a little bubblegum, but also a little bit of pear and apple, as well as some cereal grain. Alcohol is almost completely hidden.
T-The taste tracks the smell closely. Lots of Belgian yeast gives flavors of bubblegum, banana, and clove (and maybe some pepper). It verges on being overly sweet, and some would probably say it IS too sweet, but I am enjoying it. Cereal malts form the base of the beer, along with a little tree fruit. Hops are not really present. Again, alcohol is well-concealed.
M-The body is on the hefty side, but carbonation is substantial enough to keep the beer from getting syrupy. The feel is a nice fit.
O-I rather enjoyed this tripel. It is easily one of the better Colorado tripels I have tasted. It is definitely on the yeast-y side of things, and the high ABV makes it more of a sipper than a guzzler, but I would drink more.
