Bottle-conditioned sour beer brewed without hops. Made with pilsner malt from Sugar Creek Malt, honey from royal bee in Steeleville, and ginger from our garden, fermented with our wild house mixed culture. Tart, spicy, refreshing.

Clean crystal clear gold pour. Ginger, slight clove, maybe allspice or spicebush, with orange zest and sour wheat in the nose. Ginger percolates the palate right from the start, with sour oaking with orange zest, lemon and lime juice, flowers, lighter spices from nose, and a touch of mint or something artfully sharp, mind blowing what is going on here. Feel starts sharp and then gets spiced but sweetens and smoothens out with sour juiciness. A unique beer that is well worth your time and maybe the best herb/spiced beer I have ever had! (If you like ginger that is, but thought that was obvious)

Appearance -From the bottle, the beer poured an orange/yellow color with visible carbonation and a white head.
Smell - The nose smelled of sour ginger, but also had qualities of drying latex paint.
Taste - The ginger came through with a sour slant. The beer was dense like orange juice which presented a medicinal quality in the finish.
Mouthfeel - I would describe the beer at being dense with assertive carbonation.
Overall - The taste profile was a little medicinal, which made the beer a little off-puttibg.
