i am feeling extremely lucky to have had these guys send some beers out for gabf this year, and to have been able to track a good number of them down. this one was tasty, a fairly priced bottle too for what it is, a blueberry wild beer, really uniquely flavored like all of the scratch stuff. it pours a frosted pink color hazy and even milky and thick by the bottom of the bottle, holding some head after gushing a little bit, and with some visible sediment in the bottom half or so. not super refined, but the color is gorgeous. the aroma is quite sour, a little vinegar pucker to it, white wine, acetic blueberry juice, and a sweeter almost baked pastry sort f blueberry vibe. they taste natural to me, but almost cooked or concentrated or something, lighter perfumy, and highly medicinal and botanical, smart with the citrusy acidity in here, and some nice richer grain character too, sudsy almost soapy feel to it, dried in the end, and pretty bubbly. i thought the blueberry flavor might be a little more intense here, its mild to me, certainly present but kind of understated. i want more than one bottle to get a better feel for it, its gone too fast, and its interesting enough to not have completely got it after one. i love these guys, and while this isnt my favorite thing i had from them recently, it is a unique beer in the world of fruited sours, well worth the asking price!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
