Draft at the Beer Temple, served in a mini-nonic.
Nutmeg and wood smoke, bark and leaves, signature Scratch stuff.
Taste is unusual at first, lightly spiced and mild smoke. Malty, woody, some nutmeg in the back. Aftertaste is dry, body is crisp and smooth. Nutmeg and light clove linger. The smoke and clove together remind me of smoking a clove cigarette once upon a time in high school, but not at all a tobacco taste. Really unique and complex beer, adds a dimension to winter warmers i’ve never experienced before.
