Tart amber ale brewed with rose root and oak. Malt forward with a tannic black tea bitterness from the rose; and cinnamon, cherry and vanilla spice from the oak.

Opaque orange pour with a cream cap. Earthy yet delicate nose, some floral and general botanicals with oak backing. Taste is even more earthy, with plenty of oak with light tartness, flowers, leaves, underripe raspberry, wet forested earth, and a kiss of vanilla. Feel is lightly sour with plenty of botanical textures and earthiness with the malt backbone. Fascinating, points for creativity

Tawny amber tone, hazy with a frothy cap of off white foam, spotty lace. Aroma is light and earthy, tart crabapple and applesauce.
Earthy and tart, finishes dry with lingering tea leaf bitterness. Medium bodied and effervescent. Crisp tartness, slightly fruity apple, malic acid. The oak is a little muted in the mix, especially after just having Scratch Oak. Overall it’s a nice sour ale from Scratch, a little similar to their other beers but interesting as always. Thanks to Bill for this one!
