Pours a hazy golden color with a 1/2F head and negligible lacing.
Smells and tastes of bananas and tangy wheat.
A decent brew that less assertive than the better of the type.

Picked up a 0,5l bottle dated 13.06.23 from the local Edeka. Always willing to try a new to me Schonbuch brew. I expected a filtered Hefe but that’s what their Kristallweizen is for. I think this is just their traditional Hefe which they distinguish with “Hell” which means bright. Smells and drinks like a solid example of the style. Great malt bill and yeast character.

This one is interesting. The color is a very light and cloudy pale yellow and the smell is very citrusy. You will feel a bit of coating on the teeth resulting in a slightly abrasive sensation. However the taste is light, crisp, and tasty with a nice clean (and citrus) finish. Again, a very unique hefeweizen good for a sunny day at the park.

Appearance: Pale gold/yellow; cloudy; big head; good lacing
Aroma: Bananas; cloves; malty
Taste: Normal wheat beer taste; pretty smooth; refreshing
Remarks: Drank it at the Aichtal-Neuenhaus pool near our house.
Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores
