This is actually the regular Milk Stout, and flavored with Peppermint. On tap at the brewery tasting room in Solana Beach. Beautiful dark brown pour with the creamy nitro head in the tulip. The aroma is amazing— totally like candy canes.
The flavor is really just Peppermint, but the caramel roasted milk stout emerges eventually. The touch of hoppy bitterness is welcome at the finish. Aftertaste has that same hot, breathy feeling of sucking on a candy cane. This lends itself well to the nitro treatment. A delightful holiday brew.
