This is an interesting variation on the barrel aged brews. It's surprising low alcohol content but quite flavorful with a restrained Bourbon note. Lovely boozy nose. Starts with a hint of malty sweetness but has a rather dry finish. Dark roasted grain flavor with a touch of bitterness.
Color is dark, clear reddish brown with plenty of light beige foam in the Maredsous goblet. It's actually quite delicious but you wouldn't be leaving it around for anyone to pop one open. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Culture tasting room in Ocean Beach.
