A take on a German Style Fest Lager that is slightly stronger than our other light lagers. Provides a malty body and a higher amount of noble hop bitterness and presence. This is a more modern fest beer, as they are starting to get lighter in body than a traditional Oktoberfest or Martzen. Uses a floor malted Bohemian pilsner malt, Vienna malt, and a little bit of Cara-Hell.

Pours a clear amber abundant foam in the Bacchus tumbler. Aromatic with cereal, hints of greenery, and a spicy note. Caramel taste with slight woody note. Rich and tasty brew with plenty of malt flavor and just the kiss of hops. This is the lighter style of Festbier, but it's still quite malty and sweet. Over all it's a thoroughly drinkable brew, strong for a Lager, and I would not toss down pints of the stuff. Very satisfying, however. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at the Encinitas tasting room.
