This is a gluten-free (or "gluten reduced to less than 10 ppm") beer, and it is way overhopped for a blonde and doesn't hold up to the style.

On tap at the brewery in Solana Beach. Clear pale amber in the 16 oz tulip. Modest foam with a pleasant sparkly mouthfeel. Light body but not watery. Some crackers in the flavor with a dark grainy hint, like a whiff of buckwheat. A thoroughly drinkable beer that doesn't go totally over to the Light side.
Some hoppy boldness sneaks in with a resiny hint. Brewer notes that this is brewed with southern hemisphere Helga hops rating an IBU of 22. It's a Blonde with some malt, yet it stays close to the magic Utah draft number of 4 percent for an impressive mouthful.
