On-draught @ the brewpub. Imperial IPA brewed with Denali and Azacca hops as well as Mosaic lupulin powder. Collaboration with Belching Beaver brewing.
10% ABV.
Hides its ABV surprisingly well. I get white grape-like hop notes, ample pale malt/2-row, and nebulous tropical fruit character.
Hop pungency is limited. Very timid for an imperial IPA, lacking the concomitant bitterness one would expect.
Shallow and simple for the style, but still enjoyable. Fails to showcase Mosaic's signature subtle blueberry flavour to any perceptible extent.
C+ (3.16) / ABOVE AVERAGE
