We’ve spent years hunting both hemispheres for the finest hops we can get our sticky hands on and are stoked to present the results of this latest lupulin fueled venture. Here There Be Dragons was designed around a star-studded cast of South Pacific and Northwest hops. Multiple mega-sized hop charges of Citra, Comet and Ekuanot were matched with a blend of New Zealand-grown goodness in the form of Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Pacifica, and Pacific Jade. This neon-hued, juicy giant was layered with late hop additions culminating in colorful notes of kiwi, key lime, orange creamsicle and all manner of ripe tropical produce.

16 oz can poured into a Tree House teku. Lemonade haze that appears fuller on the bottom than the top. We'll call this one J-Lo, for short. Murky, yet not entirely robust at the same time. Thin wispy head that evaporates into thin air and leaves nothing but HVAC unit condensation on the glass. Aromas of Aunt Edna's fruit salad. Yeah, I get it. You went all in with the tropical notes, but you forgot to realize that you can't just pour syrup on sh*t and call it a pancake. Added nuances of ripe blue cheese on the back end. I'm a huge fan of many cheeses, yet seriously, not in my IPA. As far as taste is concerned, it's all over the place. Is it juicy? Sure. Is it refined? Not at all. Mid-palate there's a chalky aspect that doesn't have me scraping my tongue in the best way. It's devoid of any signature hop note and, if anything, completely medicinal. On the back end, there is somewhat of a green/vegetal component. The feel is thin, watery and overall, unremarkable. Clark, why did you leave Edna on the roof of the car? Well...
Not impressed.
