A: Pours a hazed red color. A two finger beige head forms. Good lace is left behind.
S: Piny hops, a bit of grapefruit. Bready, toasted, biscuit malts. Some sweetness, and light buttery malt. A bit of alcohol in the nose. Very nice.
T: Again, piny hops and grapefruit. Toasted malts. Bread and biscuit, sweetness. Even a bit of dark fruits. Lingering bitterness.
M/D: A medium to full body. Crisp carbonation, but smooth and fine at the same time. The alcohol is a bit noticeable. Though still a good sipper.
Very enjoyable. It seems like a ramped up version of their Calma Meurta with a bit more sweetness and noticeable malts.

Had on tap at Pinthouse Pizza
A - Nice creamy head that really lasts, and solid lacing as well.
S - On the nose I get hops hops and more hops. It almost smells like a big DIPA. There are some subtle floral undertones under the hops.
T - Hops up front that taste great, followed by a some sweetness notes of grapefruit, plum, and caramel.
M - I rated the mouthfeel a little low based on the standard for the style because it's a little thin. I actually like it in this beer because it's not as big as some barleywines, and it makes it a really smooth drinker.
O - Overall I enjoyed this. It's not something I would sit and drink a few of, but I did think it was a good offering. Solid brew.
