I was hopeful when I bought this because I had heard someone say that they thought this was good. Bought 1 can to try, glad I only bought the one. Smells like pink bubblegum and cherries... not something that I ever want any IPA that I am about to drink to smell like. The color is a strange dark orange color, really dark for an IPA. First taste you immediately taste fresh grapefruit. But its as if grapefruit extract or flavoring was added. The malt profile is strong, as if a lot of crystal malts were used to give it the sweet flavor that comes through after the grapefruit. Strong alcohol flavor, very warm, very fusel. Relatively bitter, but no real hop flavor. It wasn't absolutely horrid, but I wouldn't buy it again. Since I had a lot of other tasty IPAs in the fridge waiting for me, I poured the second half of the can own the drain.

Translucent and a bit on the orange side of amber with a 3 finger off white to very pale tan head and pretty decent lacing.
Huge aroma of grapefruit, or of an orange/grapefruit flavored chocolate bar. I think there's a little caramel trying to come through also.
Grapefruit abounds again in the taste, accented by the Citra hops and the sweet malts, Yet, the bitter hops to me suggest bitter chocolate, and again I'm reminded of a Lindt Excellence Intense Orange Dark Chocolate bar. Weird, I know.
Medium bodied with low carbonation and super sticky syrup, becoming drying in the end.
This is the best canned beer ever! The best grapefruit beer ever!

Deep golden in color with fizzy head and veryvsticky lacing. Aroma is sweet, citrusy and unfortunately slightly soapy. Mouth feel is good and finish is big grapefruit and citrus peel

Served on tap in pint glass at Sedona Taproom in Fredericksburg, VA. Dark amber with a strong head. Mostly clear. Strong grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit taste first, with nice happy finish. Creamy feel and a little flat. The grapefruit notes are much stronger than, say, a Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin but if you like that you may love this.
