From the growler via Jungle Jim's Fairfield in a snifter. This decent bock pours a
nice red tinged brown color with a decent head of off white foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin light layer, and shows subtle light lacing. Nose of breaded malts,
light brown sugar, and subtle light fruit notes with a light bittering hop. Flavors
lightly exceed the nose with a nice roasted malt backbone with light stone fruit elements
of peaches and moderately rich breaded malts mingling nicely brown sugars and
a nicely balanced LIGHT hop note which is a rarity for this hop centered brewery.
Nice mouth feel; medium light carbonation, medium mouth feel, and a moderately
rich roasted caramel malt finish.
Overall a SOLID entrance for a well balanced and not hop centered brew from a
solid brewery who can surprise with a rogue brew that is not a single note hop
symphony. Excellent and keep up the good work!
Cheers
