1 PINT, 0.9 FLUID OUNCE bottle
Served in a sour glass
Blend: 1-2015

This beer pours a brilliant amber hue and is topped with a fleeting head.

Great sour nose. Lemon is there. Peach is faint but there.

Nice and sour. Lots of lemon sourness. The peach adds just a touch of sweetness.

Lighter bodied with a smooth, yet, dryish mouthfeel

Aged beautifully. Great sourness. Not too much sourness for me. Very enjoyable beer for Reds Opening Day!

With a tightening of the jaw and a pucker of the mouth, the lactic sourness of Mad Tree's Levanto series hits an inaugural stride with the gentle twang of lemon and peach and rounded out by wine-barrel aging for a sour vinous taste and palate-stripping refreshment.

Pale straw and carrying a faint haze, the beer shares a rosy glean to the eye. A soft wisping swath of foam swirls and falls still. Its mouth-wetting sourness drifts into the nose with the character of lemon, peach, apple and chardonnay. Supple sweetness lays a thin veil on the tongue, providing just enough sweetness and body to give the peach taste a radiant identity.

And as the sourness breaks apart the malt, the sweetness recedes and the full fruit acidity takes hold. Sour citrus pangs away at the tongue along with juicy peach, crabapple, kiwi and honeydew. A light peppery tinge on the periphery of the tongue ushers in the light earthen undercurrent of balsa and burlap.

Light in body, the beer's brazen acidity cuts through the thirst and refreshes the palate with ease. Highly drinkable but apprehensively tart, the ale trails with bubbly chardonnay and its oak-aged spice. Clean, crisp and certainly built for a high rate of quaffability from nose to finish.
