From the growler via Jungle Jim's Fairfield in a snifter. This robust porter
pours a muddled brownish black with a fantastic head of white foam that
settles to a thin layer and ring with excellent bed sheet like lacing. Nose of
coffee (duh) with touches of char, smoke, chocolate, and a hint of cream.
Flavors follow the nose in stride with a subtly cream touched cold brewed
coffee, rich and dark, over a bed of woodsy char, subtle cola, and chocolate
notes surrounded by deep roast. Decent mouth feel; medium full body, medium
full mouth feel that is a touch watery on the finish, and low carbonation.
Overall, an excellent porter that is worth having again. I could enjoy a barrel
of this stuff----a coffee lovers dream.
Cheers
