The South meets the Midwest in a collaboration effort that links Creature Comforts with Madtree for a taste that best suites what's great about Georgia beer and Ohio beer. This American IPA didn't just fall off the turnip truck.
...it apparently fell from the trees. So the joint venture IPA, What Fell from the Trees, pours a pale chrome with a fine mesh haze. Spicy and fruity aromas tingle the nose with lemon pepper, fresh spruce, white citrus, vinous fruit and a bright herbal perfume. Gentle sweetness first greets the tongue with light carmelization, mild honey and a soft cashew nuttiness.
The hops spring from the middle palate and command the taste thereon with the racy brightness of white grapefruit, lime, lemon and white grape. Hints of yuzu and kiwi add a tropical succulence before the ale trends bitter with fresh and peppery spruce, verbena, lemongrass, sassafras and cedar.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the IPA definitely shows a little more of a west coast demeanor, promising a crisp, clean and refreshing late palate and a finish of herbal botanicals. An aftertaste of muddled herbs and citrus peels carry a "green" fruitiness well into the next sip.

Look - yellow with a slight haze but not much. slight white head and good skimming.
Smell - Citrus slight pine, slight dankness
Taste - a lot like the scent but with a slight oil like taste. Very interesting and different. Not to bitter almost on the edge of a NE style but not quite.
Feel - medium body with a lighter carbonation
Overall - This is a really tasty beer and I absolutely love the can.
