1 PT, 0.9 FL OZ bottle
Served in a snifter
Bottled 11/18
This beer pours a brilliant rust color with copper highlights. It is topped with a small, tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
Taffy and toasted caramel aromas. Dates and figs along with an oaky aroma.
Caramel flavor with hints of vanilla. There is a definite oak presence.
Medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel
I get little from the grape brandy which makes me a little sad. Not incredibly complex. Good beer. Glad I tried it.

500 ml bottle, looks like it says bottled 11/18, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a MadTree chalice, the beer pours a somewhat hazy burnt orange color with not quite an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark fruit, red grapes, oak and some wheat/grainy malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some butterscotch and stone fruit flavors noticeable too. I think the dark fruit/red grape flavor stands out to me here. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a little slick with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew overall, but think it might have been a little better fresher. Certainly worth trying if you get the chance!

From the 1pt 0.9floz bottle in a snifter. This unique take on
a wheatwine pours a orange tinged burnt auburn with a decent
head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin swirling layer,
and shows some nice light lacing. Nose of peach, caramel, dark
red wine, oak, and astringent booze. Flavors surpass the nose
by presentation with white raisin, fig, toffee, Merlot wine
touches, oak, peach, butterscotch, and touches of wheat
amongst the astringent booze. Nice mouth feel; medium
body, light carbonation, smooth, lightly coating, lightly warming,
and finishing warm and lightly dry.
Overall-----not much more to say other than it is unique and
a treat to enjoy. A potential finisher, but this one is our
starter!
Cheers
