Can
L-cloudy straw yellow. Minimal and brief white head. Fair bit of sediment.
S-botanicals and herbals with a hint of citrus
T-flavorful with yeast and citrus flavors, but not particularly balanced
F-light bodied
O-hits a few good notes, but ends up feeling and tasting a bit thin for the style.

12 ounce can, looks like the canning date is 06/30/2021 but it's hard to read. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a Teku, the beer pours a hazy dark gold/orange color with about an inch and a half frothy white head that stuck around a long time. Lots of lacing, too. The brew smells like pineapple, tropical fruit, citrus peel, herbal hops and bready malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some grapefruit and mango flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, wouldn't mind trying this one fresher at some point.

A - Pours hazy dark orange, just a hint of red in the highlights. Pours with a very short head, quick fade, some small bubble lacing.
S - Very quiet, some dank fruit notes, a bit of sweet malt beneath.
T - Brighter fruit, pineapple and other tropical notes, and a bit of spice, pine hop highlights, and a mildly bitter bite in the finish.
M - Moderate weight, mild carbonation, just a bit of grittiness that detracts.
O - A fun, drinkable, Tiki-influenced IPA. Avoids most of the traps, in that it stays dry enough and doesn't pound you with spice. Quite decent overall.

Look - Fanstic hazy orangish color with a great lasting white head and sticky lacing
Smell - slightly west coast resiny dankness with a tropical fruit in there too
Taste - still west coast slight resin and dank but a citrus pineapple and a slight pine backbone
Feel - medium body and carbonation
Overall - interesting take on an IPA. Slightly west coast gone tropical with a very slight hazy approach

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank ripe tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a very good beer.

Pours deep amber with a good sized white head.
As soon as I cracked the can I was bombarded by tropical fruit aroma. Ripe pineapple, mango, and passion fruit with a bit of coconut and honey. Slightly floral. Aroma is out of this world. Close your eyes and you’re on the beach.
Flavor is hugely tropical as well. Nice pineapple and coconut with some citrus punch. Slightly sweet malt character finishes dry with little bitterness.
Overall this is a very tasty, crushable tropical IPA perfect for summer weather.

When stuck at home and no vacation plans in sight, MadTree brewers bring the vacation to you. ...or at least for the tastebuds. Theirs summery IPA takes on a tropical demeanor for all of what's best about the tropics in a twelve ounce can.
Burnish straw in a slightly bronzen pour, Midwest Luau forms a tall column of seafoam while emitting a tropical bouquet of citrus, tropical fruit, coconut, cream and a general all-things-suntan lotion. With a taste of honey, cream and graham cracker on the tongue, the first impressions are smooth and crusty in a light pastry way.
As the hop flavors unfold on the middle palate, the abundance of citrus and pineapple leap right out in true tropical punch flavor, especially with the persistence of sweeter grains remaining. A followup of mango, pink grapefruit, papaya and lime make the medley nearly complete. As the malt flavors fall away, a rebound of vanilla and coconut create balance to the rise also of bitter hops that come in a botanical, grassy and tea-like way.
Medium-light in body, the beer's full and fruity taste sells its luau character well while its body is more conventional of IPA but its hop flavors are quite an update. A crisp, clean and lightly spicy hop finish follows with a linger of herbal and sprucy bitterness that trail into a cedar and tea aftertaste.
