To be fair, I found this beer served too cold from tap at a local bar, The Kilted Mermaid in Vero Beach, FL. I was expecting a full chocolaty peanutty beer with semi sweet tones and smooth bitterness. The aroma initially was of coffee and this beer reminded me a lot of a nitro cold brew coffee from Starbucks. The aroma became more pronounced as it warmed up and I could sense vanilla and the peanut butter. The taste however was not of peanut butter. I experienced more coffee notes with hints of toasted bread, bitter sweet chocolate, and coconut. I also found some slightly bitter grapefruit acidity and not a smooth bitterness that threw me off from the peanut butter experience I was craving. The feel was again like a nitro cold brew, seltzery but not full. Overall, this was not the peanut butter and chocolate experience I expected. I would not order it again as a stand alone drink, but possibly pairing it with a rich desert like sweet potato pie on a hot day that would play similar to a cold brew coffee.

I tried this beer off the tapper at Oak & Stone Restaurant in Naples, Florida. The beer poured a nearly opaque dark amber with very thin off white head that did not leave any ace. The scent had peanut butter cup notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet chocolate malt base and peanut butter highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a great beer!
