Pours midnight black with a soapy inch of head. Nose is roasted coffee. Taste is a lovely roasted coffee, light and drinkable... but the killer is the tinny afterataste. Tastes like a bite of aluminum. If the aftertaste was gone I'd say this is a good, easy drinking stout, but I can't get past that tin. The can is undated and I bought it at the brewery, so it should be fresh. No excuses.

Had a pint at the brewpub last night with my bro for $4.00.
Beer was served black with a very nice tan head that left lacing behind.
Nose was roasty with hints of dark chocolate and coffee.
Taste was a nice heavy roasted malt base with hints of chocolate and coffee. Finish was a tad sweet.
Feel was medium bodied and smooth. True to the style.
Overall this was an enjoyable brew that is worthy of a shot!

On draft at the brewery. Dark brown/ black, very good lacing. Smells great, chocolate, sweet oats, toast and a little coffee. Taste follows with chocolate and oats leading the way with a surprising fresh hop flavor. A little roastyness and coffee take second stage. The mouthfeel is incredible, creamy smooth one of the best oatmeal stouts I have tried. Perfectly balanced stout with some impressive flavors. I think freshness was a key component to this beer.
