Not a bad local option for barrel-aged aficionados, though it doesn't do much to dispel my sense that rum barrels just generally don't work as well as bourbon/oak/wine. Nose is a touch boozy with notes of spicy oak, rummy oak, alcohol, and maybe some chocolate/brownie notes. Palate has a rummy bite, some chocolate, some char. Not especially thick, and I do think some extra body might give this brew some gravitas or perhaps harness that booziness. Overall, again, a decent stab at the style, but not something I'd often revisit.
