On draught at a restaurant in Saxapahaw, NC. It pours a slightly hazy, dark orange color with a half finger of creamy, bright white head and thin sheen of lacing. The nose is predominately malty with bitter citrus notes. The taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit from the tried and true combo of Citra and Mosaic hops but the citrus is nicely balance by the sweetness of honey and Maris Otter malts. The Centennial hops provide modest but welcome bitterness at the finish. This ale is lite and crisp with fairly lively carbonation and it's easily drinkable at 6.2% ABV. A second pour is welcome on a hot, humid summer afternoon. Overall, Hipster or Hobo? is an excellent APA. It paired well with a lunch of catfish and chips.
